The popular East side club, Sabala’s at Mt. Tabor, is now under new ownership, but will continue operating as a rock venue. New owner, Dawning McGinnis, states that by March 7^th a new management team will be in place, and although many exciting changes are planned, such as fire dancers, and energetic dj’s, the basic character will remain in tact and they will continue to feature live bands, predominately rock ‘n’ roll.

McGinnis plans to bring new life to the historic Mt. Tabor Theater. A menu will be added for those desiring more than just a beer or cocktail, expanding further as time goes on. The space will get a good cleaning up, additional seating is being added, and the Sideshow Lounge will get an exciting, completely new look. The master plan calls for the addition of pool tables and pinball to be added.

The plans for a new look will be done over a short time after McGinnis takes ownership. She plans to remain open during the renovation and continue serving, though the hours of operation will be changed to: Wednesday, 4:00 pm – 1:30 am, Thursday through Saturday, 4:00 pm – 2:30 am, and Sunday 4:00 pm – 1:30 am. A grand re-opening is planned for early summer 2007.
